The classic 1920's helmet with a forehead piece and 4 strap design. This old helmet has a light Spalding logo on the right rear and is a circular design classic to Spalding. This antique is from the 1920's when Red Grange and Bronco Nagurski and JimThorpe ruled.         This helmet is black and is all leather and no composite. It is a nice 2 piece with the upper and lower leather shells connected by leather straps. All the stitching is tight and the straps are intact.       There is a chinstrap and it is on the helmet and attached. The helmet is an adult size and I am going to say it it is Medium. There are some war wounds on this football relic. The leather is fairly soft and  it displays well. It did not stay on the bench as it was well used. It is dyed black and shows Model # 188 on the right Dog Ear.        The interior wool is all intact and there is no loss there. The wool is on the dog ears and the elastic is still there on the forehead piece.      The holder that the helmet is on comes with it, so that makes it ready for display in a collection or office.      This will be shipped by USPS and please ask questions and there is no reserve.
