As per ebay a bid is a binding agreement between a buyer and seller.   Up for auction is this Rare to find 1948 Macgregor Goldsmith Boys (Childs) Football Helmet, this is the helmet prototype that brought the helmet into modern age. The helmet is red with a navy blue strip down the center of it. The original straps are missing according to a helmet I found on the internet, there are snaps still present so if a strap was found it can be added easily. Please see photos, they show all aspects of the condition of the helmet. There are scuff marks noted on the helmet but the paint overall is in very good condition (the one I found on the internet is missing a great deal of the paint on it), no cracks or breaks on the helmets body. The cloth straps & leather attachments are present but there cloth strap at the front of the helmet is partially loose. There is a boys name in the center of the straps in the center of the helmet (Ronnie Jones). This only adds character to the helmet, showing it once belong to a young boy. At the back of the helmet there is a small piece of plastic missing at the seam where the helmet is stitched. This is a superb item to add to your Sports Memorabilia Collection.
